Plan Outlined For Reducing Public Employee Benefits

Milwaukee voices it’s financial condition as to employee benefits

“We are broke in this state. We have been broke for years. People have ignored that for years. And it’s about time somebody stood up and spoke the truth. The truth is we don’t have money to offer,” Walker said.

On the state level, Walker wants public employees to pay more for their health and pension benefits. He estimates the changes will plug $30 million dollars of the $136 million dollar deficit the state faces in its current budget.
