Employees Unaware Of Sick Pay and Benefits
It is amazing at how many people in the workforce are unaware of the options availabel to them for sick pay and benefits for medical leave.
This study done by Canada Life at goes to show how people do not look into their financial protectuion until they really need it. This is quite a concern as these days you can not rely on your company, government plans or even your insurance company to provide for you and your family in time of need. The best solution I can see is to have backup from an assortment of sources in case the ones you most rely on do not come through.
Just knowing what is available is half the battle as this will get you thinking more about you may require and how much coverage you actually have.
